ASSISTING WITH CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES
Earn volunteer hours by helping with a variety of children’s activities.
Central and Valois : various times – bilingual.
Help us choose books, prepare themed decorations, and plan activities for teens. You can earn volunteer hours and get experience.
Fridays September 30, October 28, November 25 and December 16, 2016.
Central : 4 to 5:30 p.m. – bilingual.
Teens share their love for reading with a Little Buddy (7 to 10 years old). Being a Big Buddy is a rewarding way to do volunteer work.
You must be willing to commit for the year in order to join this program. Application deadline: Wednesday, September 21, 2016

READING BUDDIES : MEET THE BUDDY NIGHT
Big Buddies receive a training kit and hear stories from other teens who have participated in the program. Then, the Sorting Hat assigns Little Buddies, and a reading schedule is set up with the child’s parents.
You must be registered as a Big Buddy to attend.

ASSISTING WITH THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOK SALE
Preparing for the Friends of the Library book sale is a great way for teens to earn volunteer hours and get experience.
